http://mfgg.net/index.php?act=resdb¶m=01&c=6This is our competition entry. Mario goes Duck Hunting! This game features "DS touch-screen" action, using the mouse cursor to aim and the standard controls to move Mario around.
The first thing you'll notice is your cursor changes to a stylus when you hover over the screen! The main menu allows for both standard or mouse controls, so either click or press
BUTTON 2 when you've made a selection.
When you start the game, you're playing as Mario. Here's the basics:
Left and Right Buttons: Move Mario left or righButton 1: Make Mario jump
Left Mouse Button: Shoot. Mario will shoot towards the area you clicked your cursor, and you can even hold left click for rapid fire
(I highly suggest you use Ctrl+y and set the controls to whatever's comfortable to you)

Your objective is to climb to the top as fast as possible, shooting the ducks that appear along the way, making sure your shots are accurate, and not falling into the pit below. If jump off the side of the screen, you'll loop around to the opposite end, a useful technique for reaching far away platforms.
The ducks appear as you climb upwards, and they are not able to hurt you. Focus on hopping upwards as quickly as possible while taking down each duck you see. Don't fire too much though, because the more bullets you shoot the smaller the score you'll receive at the end.
When you manage to climb to the top, the rating screen will come up. It will count the bullets you fired, the amount of ducks you shot (out of 42), and how long it took you to reach the end. If you get a high score, you'll be recorded as the greatest, and can see your milestone by visiting "high score" from the main menu.
